We’re excited to announced that MATTER has accepted another 10 member companies into the community. The companies join the first 10 startups that were announced late last month.
The 10 new MATTER members are:
Cypris Medical – is committed to improving patient outcomes by working with clinicians in the cosmetic surgery market to develop technologies overlooked by large medical device manufacturers. The company’s first device is a replacement to the almost 100-year-old needle holder that delivers sutures during surgery. Cypris Medical’s modern day version of the needle holder is easier to use, accurate, less invasive and saves procedure time, thereby reducing potential for complications.
Diagnostic Photonics (DxP) – is a medtech company commercializing a handheld, high-resolution imaging system for cancer surgery. The Foresee™ (4C) Imaging System provides new, crucial information and insight on the extent of disease at the microscopic level. Surgeons can act on that information during surgery – no longer waiting days for final pathology – and avoid costly repeat procedures and poor clinical outcomes.
Fibroblast – automates the physician referral process and reduces patient leakage from provider networks, increasing revenue and mapping referral patterns in real-time. In the fee-for-service context, Fibroblast closes the referral loop to drive top-line revenues, increase patient satisfaction, and improve patient outcomes through better access to care. In the fee-for-value context, Fibroblast’s automated referral platform reduces risk by driving referrals to the highest quality, lowest cost providers, improving profitability, patient outcomes, and population health.
Foundry Health – Foundry Health is commercializing an eSource driven cloud based clinical trial management system that provides CDISC support, device level integration, sponsor auditing support and quick data export capabilities.
Gradient Therapeutics – Gradient is developing a novel, trans-vascular, catheter based technology based on proven clinical, human data to treat pulmonary hypertension, a fatal condition that effects approximately 500,000 patients per year worldwide. This disruptive therapy results in a reduction in pulmonary vascular resistance and improvement in cardiovascular hemodynamics, symptoms, and costs of care, and has shown breakthrough potential as a life-saving treatment.
Janus Choice – uses mobile technology to optimize and improve current hospital to extended care facility discharge processes. By offering the hospital and the patient an interactive search engine with a patentable algorithm for matching patient’s clinical and social needs with the services provided by the facility, Janus Choice improves patient’s experience, increases throughput and contributes to the length of stay reduction
Quant HC – Quant HC is dedicated to simplifying medicine. Quant HC harnesses the power of existing data and in many cases the existing IT infrastructure to produce algorithms designed to deliver the right data at the right time. Quant HC’s flagship product, eCART, can detect all cause patient deterioration hours in advance, facilitating staff clinical evaluation that can lead to improved patient outcomes, patient experience scores and improve hospital economics.
REAL Dietitian – enables simplified access to Medical Nutrition Therapy. REAL Dietitian provides phone and video appointments by connecting patients to a nationwide network of specialized dietitians.
Shamrock Structure – provides drug discovery services in structural biology, medicinal chemistry and biological screening with the goal of accelerating the identification of novel lead compounds.
Sugarsnap – provides medical specialty societies and academic medical centers with a video education platform to update clinicians on current standards of care. Educators can validate expertise in specific clinical areas and organizations can generate revenue through multiple business models.
