It is comprised of an intuitive patient management system and a wireless, implantable sensor to manage HF patients’ pulmonary artery pressure, a leading indicator for early detection of worsening heart failure. About the role

Medical Director

The Medical Director at Endotronix will drive the advancement of medical therapies across all areas of the business by rigorously and creatively applying their scientific and medical expertise to drive innovation and to ensure patient safety. The Medical Director establishes credibility and provides substantial expertise to internal and external customers, performs and oversees day-to-day as well strategic research activities on all clinical studies, provides insights and expertise to new products and indications, and provides hands-on strategic support for all scientific and medical related projects. The Medical Director will report directly to the Chief Medical Officer.


  • Provides strategic medical input and approval of study design, clinical protocols and other study documents
  • Serves as physician liaison to clinical trial team
  • Proactively reviews and approves necessary study reports (Medical monitoring, safety summaries etc.)
  • Communicates with regulatory agencies as needed on clinical, medical and safety related issues
  • Leads/organizes scientific presentations to report study research results
  • Leads and/or contributes to peer reviewed journal articles and reviews
  • Serves as the medical representative on all post market surveillance activities (e.g. complaint reporting) to assure patient safety
  • Provides medical input on labeling including indication expansions
  • Serves as the medical representative on all risk management related activities
  • Works with R&D team to proactively craft strategies for new or improved product development
  • Serves as the physician representative in discussions with Key Opinion Leaders on studies, products and other questions of interest in the field
  • Provides scientific internal medical education across departments as needed
  • Ensures adherence to Good Clinical Practices, product safety, standard operating procedures, and to all other quality standards in conducting research
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned


  • Medical Degree required; preferable board certification in cardiology with solid knowledge of heart failure
  • 3 years of clinical trial or industry experience

  • Must be highly motivated, have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, great desire to help others, and composed under stress
  • Must be highly organized and able to establish priorities
  • Outstanding interpersonal and community relations skills and the ability to communicate and work effectively within a diverse community
  • Problem solver providing solutions that are creative and effectiveStrategic planning skills
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of medical principles, methods, and procedures to advance medical therapies
  • Open to remote location
  • Must be willing and able to travel
