About the role

Agile Software Delivery Manager

Location: Remote

Orthogonal is hiring a full-time Agile Software Delivery Manager to lead our development and design teams for our clients. This position reports directly to the Director of Delivery.

  • Knowledge of application development processes, software scaling, and support
  • Ability to create and maintain accurate project budgets and timelines

Position Focus Areas:

Leadership:

  • Communicate tradeoffs to stakeholders raising business implication awareness
  • Negotiate and balance the demands of competing stakeholders committed to project delivery plans and planning methodology and know when and how to prioritize among competing commitments
  • Thought leadership in gray areas and brings out creativity and innovation in those around them

Customer Focus:

  • Proactive and timely in communications with all stakeholders.
  • Elicit customer requirements, goals, and needs, even in unclear situations.
  • Understands and capable of explaining the total solution under development.
  • Knows what they don’t know and brings in the right support when needed.
  • Facilitate user meetings, present to C-Suite and other leadership.

Product Ownership:

  • Serve as Agile Product Owner on Projects
  • Build and structure Product Backlog in Jira
  • Write development-ready User Stories, including detailed acceptance criteria and traceability to user needs and higher level requirements
  • Perform Sprint Prioritization and Planning with clients and scrum team
  • Communicate business and user value of design choice options
  • Understand and can apply principles of Behavior Driven Design –BDD.
  • Serve as Product Expert to internal and external teams
  • Perform acceptance testing or review of work delivered in sprints

Project Management:

  • Team lead in driving accurate story estimating, keeping to project timelines, forecasting resource requirements, and managing change
  • Run status reporting and review meetings with clients.
  • Perform oversight and documentation as defined and required under Orthogonal Quality Management System
  • Coordinate project activities (UX, Development, Testing), and plan for resource availability
  • Scrum Master responsibilities: conduct Agile ceremonies, clear team blockers, and review sprint reports with the scrum team

Preferred Skills & Experience (You’d be a great fit if you have…):

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager/Project Manager or a related position
  • In-depth knowledge of Jira & Confluence for Agile Project Management and documentation
  • Experience in a consulting capacity being the account manager or primary contact for client relationships
  • Experience with Development under Design Controls within an ISO 13485 Quality Management System
  • Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholder relationships simultaneously
