Introducing Paratus — the Digital Health Hub for the BARDA Accelerator Network.

The BARDA Accelerator Network Digital Health Hub

Advancing digital health solutions to support public health preparedness

Paratus Digital Health Hub is an accelerator advancing digital solutions to improve health preparedness. This joint initiative was created between MATTER and the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), part of the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. It is the Digital Health arm of the BARDA Accelerator Network.

Through the Paratus Digital Health Hub, entrepreneurs developing digital health preparedness solutions receive support through acceleration services and product validation opportunities so they can empower the nation to prepare for and respond to health security threats and improve the continuum of care.

Accelerator Program

Paratus Digital Health Hub accelerators support entrepreneurs developing digital health solutions to enhance the nation’s preparedness for public health emergencies through education, funding opportunities, mentorship and networking.

Our inaugural accelerator will support entrepreneurs who are developing relevant digital health solutions addressing medical countermeasures. The application-based opportunity will be launching later this year.

Development, Evaluation and Validation Studies

Paratus provides funding and support services to help entrepreneurs validate clinical, technical and business elements of their product and company, by working with health systems or other established partners. These discrete, four- to six-week studies will evaluate a specific hypothesis for novel digital health medical countermeasures. Longer studies will also be considered and supported.

Through the program, innovators will work with MATTER to receive funding, study-site matching and support to accelerate their solution. The program is application-based and will be launching soon.
