The BARDA Accelerator Network Hub for Digital Health
Advancing digital health solutions to support public health preparedness
Paratus Digital Health accelerator is advancing digital solutions to improve health preparedness. This joint initiative was created between MATTER and the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), part of the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. It is the BARDA Accelerator Network hub for digital health.
Through the Paratus Digital Health Accelerator, entrepreneurs developing digital health preparedness solutions receive support through acceleration services and product validation opportunities so they can empower the nation to prepare for and respond to health security threats and improve the continuum of care.
Opportunities
Accelerator program
To enhance the nation’s preparedness for public health emergencies, Paratus Digital Health Hub accelerators provide education, funding opportunities, mentorship and networking to entrepreneurs developing digital health solutions.
Applications are open for the third cohort.
Non-dilutive funding
Paratus provides entrepreneurs non-dilutive funding between $50,000 to $200,000 for digital health projects. This funding supports the development, evaluation or validation of innovative solutions aligned with BARDA’s mission to enhance pandemic preparedness and health security. The program is application-based.
The application-based program is currently open for submissions.
Non-dilutive funding to address traumatic brain injury (TBI) assessment
Paratus is offering non-dilutive funding ranging from $500,000 to $2,000,000 per project for digital health solutions that address traumatic brain injury (TBI). Startups and university-backed projects are invited to apply for this funding, which supports the advanced development of innovative digital health tools aligned with BARDA’s mission to advance products that address assessment of TBI caused by nuclear detonation and other
blast events.

The BARDA Accelerator Network

The BARDA Accelerator Network aims to provide comprehensive support to health security innovators, startups and BARDA portfolio companies through wrap-around accelerator services, technical and business/commercialization expertise, and resources. The network will facilitate the rapid development, evaluation, validation and commercialization of medical countermeasures.
