About the role
Program Manager
Location: Chicago, IL
Dimension Inx designs, develops, and manufactures therapeutic products that restore healthy tissues and organs. We are an energetic team of materials and biomedical engineers, scientists, designers, manufacturing experts, and market and business leaders. Our company is well-financed, venture-backed, and currently ramping up for a period of rapid growth.
The Program Manager (PM) will work closely with and report to the Head of Manufacturing and Quality with matrix reporting responsibilities aligned with the Head of Product and Strategy. The PM candidate will help steer and oversee multiple New Product Development (NPD) projects in various stage gate phases and drive them to completion. The PM will direct regular team meetings and reviews and update leadership of progress, risks, mitigation plans and overall project health. The PM will also help ensure team alignment on project priorities and execution of strategic plans. The PM will be a strong collaborator within an interdisciplinary environment comprising project engineering, product management, quality, manufacturing, regulatory and operations team members.

Key Responsibilities
- The Program Manager will oversee interconnected projects and optimize output over the project portfolio.
- The Program Manager’s focus is to get things done by managing projects composed of multi-functional teams, composed of both internal and external resources. The Program Manager must anticipate and avoid issues through appropriate risk identification and mitigation activities. In addition, the Program Manager must build/develop teams and ensure alignment on goals by driving communications among and across project teams.
- The Program Manager must also oversee, monitor, and communicate project/program performance to the management team and provide creative options to improve performance and overcome obstacles.
- Manage NPD and other projects comprised of multi-disciplined teams, both internal and external, to optimize project execution [get things done]
- Provide early project risk identification and mitigation plans [anticipate and avoid issues]
- Drive communications among and across project teams to optimize performance and alignment. [build/develop teams and align on goals]
- Conduct and provide regular updates to leadership
- Develop, implement, and evaluate project plans, goals, budgets and objectives
- Manage and own the production of program progress reports, materials, and project plans
- Manage and complete assigned work plan objectives and projects on a timely basis
- Seek opportunities to make improvements to team efficiency and process
- Provide guidance and role modeling to all members
- Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans, budgets and schedules
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Graduate’s Degree in engineering and or other science related fields such as biomedical engineering, biology, chemistry, etc.
- Project/Program Management certification, PMI, etc., or at least 5+ years relevant experience with demonstrated success
- High proficiency in various project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.
- 7 or more years’ experience in medical device product development (Pharma or other FDA regulated industry experience will be considered a plus)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills
- A critical thinker with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently when needed
- Strive for continuous improvement and prioritize time management
- Comfortable with planning and executing a budget
- This position requires engagement in a controlled manufacturing and a laboratory environment with potential exposure to hazardous materials and equipment
