About the role

Senior Product Manager: New Product Development, Musculoskeletal Products

Location: Chicago, IL

Dimension Inx designs, develops, and manufactures therapeutic products that restore tissue and organ function. We are an energetic team of materials and biomedical engineers, scientists, designers, manufacturing experts, and market and business leaders. Our company is well-financed, venture-backed, and currently ramping up for a period of rapid growth.

The Senior Product Manager (SPM) NPD Musculoskeletal Products will work with and report directly to the Head of Product and Strategy. This critical position will initially manage the limited product introduction of Dimension Inx’s first FDA cleared product, CMFlex, a novel 3D printed synthetic bone graft utilized for bone regeneration. The ideal candidate will have prior experience developing and executing product strategies, as well as exploring and vetting new product opportunities in an entrepreneurial fast paced organization. The PM will also collaborate internally with product engineering to define new musculoskeletal products solutions to market through creative and strategic partnerships. Additional clinical areas and indications may evolve into this position’s new product development responsibility over time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be part of the front-end team helping to commercialize our innovative bone graft technology within the field of Musculoskeletal Products
  • Build out and execute product launch plans
  • Execute clinician training and maintain close contact with our limited launch clinician group

  • Support early and ongoing future clinical cases

  • Help collect patient case data and compile relevant information for later use in promotional material, publications, and discussions with strategic partners

  • Assist in the development of commercial partner strategies for further market expansion of CMFlex and Hyperelastic Bone technologies
  • Assist in the development and the definition of future product pipelines and roadmaps for Musculoskeletal Products
  • Conduct competitive intelligence and monitor emerging technologies within the Musculoskeletal environment
  • Develop market and business plans as needed for future products and NPD activities
  • Manage new product research and upstream activities of NPD
  • Develop and document future product specifications based on customer and market needs
  • Work directly with and develop clinician KOL’s
  • Routinely collaborate with R&D, Project Engineers and material scientists
Position Requirements
  • 5-7 years of product management experience within orthopedic or bone graft technology related field(s)
  • BA or BS degree, Engineering, or science (preferred), Business/Marketing also acceptable
  • Advanced degree is a plus e.g., MBA, MSc, or PhD in science/engineering field, but not required
  • Prior experience with product commercialization, product launch and limited launch required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an FDA regulated MedTech or Pharma/Biotech organization
  • Prior experience working directly with and supporting clinician (surgeon) customers
  • 510K, PMA, IND and/or BLA background highly desired
  • Understanding and experience with developing products in an NPD Stage Gate process
  • Experience with post market launch monitoring and research
  • Excellent communication (written, oral, visual) and strong business acumen
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic project management
  • Extreme levels of intellectual capacity, creativity in problem-solving, and entrepreneurial drive
