MATTER announces cohort for Restoring Brain Health Innovation Challenge, supported by Lundbeck US Charitable Fund

Five data science startups selected to participate in accelerator

October 31, 2023, CHICAGO — MATTER, the premier healthcare incubator and innovation hub, with support from the Lundbeck US Charitable Fund, a corporate foundation dedicated to responsibly giving back to the community, has selected five startups to participate in the Restoring Brain Health Innovation Challenge.

The 10-week, cohort-based accelerator will provide startups with mentorship, exclusive resources and an interactive curriculum to help them build their solutions and accelerate their growth. They will also have the opportunity to pitch their solutions to key stakeholders from the healthcare ecosystem at a final showcase on January 30, 2024. Each participant will graduate from the program with actionable next steps to further advance their solutions over the subsequent six months with a free MATTER membership.

1step aims to facilitate the centralization of the extensive repository of open-source data on patients with Alzheimer’s disease while ensuring data comparability. Moreover, this valuable resource will be made accessible for research endeavors, advancing the ongoing battle against Alzheimer’s disease.

Focused on scalability and accuracy, their platform aims to revolutionize the way the healthcare industry, academic institutions and insurance companies approach dementia screening and treatment.

The data is then leveraged to provide user-friendly health summaries and chronic disease risk predictions including risk predictions for Alzheimer’s and related diseases.
