MATTER receives $1.3M EDA “Build to Scale” grant

Funding will help scale Venture Acceleration program for next-generation digital health and life sciences technologies

Chicago, IL — MATTER has been awarded a $1.3M federal grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) through its “Build to Scale” program. The funding will help us scale our Venture Acceleration programs to help more entrepreneurs who are building solutions to improve health and healthcare.

With these funds, MATTER will develop a proprietary platform to deploy our incubation offerings and resources — beginning with an innovation readiness assessment, and then prescribing a clear development roadmap with tangible steps individualized for each startup’s specific growth requirements. MATTER’s Venture Acceleration programs serve healthcare startups across every stage of development: from assessing the market, to designing and building a solution, to validating the solution, acquiring customers and ultimately scaling.

The COVID-19 pandemic has shined a bright light on the need and value for new healthcare innovations. Through these funds, MATTER will be able to help more entrepreneurs build stronger solutions to help us all live healthier, better lives.
