Listen now: Partner Insights with MATTER, featuring VSP Vision

Three startups discuss vision care accessibility and equity in a conversation moderated by Will Flanagan of VSP Vision’s Global Innovation Center.

Eighty-four percent of people rate vision as the most important sense — and 97 percent agree that having healthy eyes is important — only half schedule an annual eye exam. As our population ages, we expect demand for vision care to grow, along with demand for better technology, interactions and experiences. As the inevitable demand for vision care accelerates, so too will the need to transform and enhance the eye care experience.

One of MATTER’s initiatives, which was developed with VSP Vision Global Innovation Center, is the first VSP Vision Innovation Challenge, a global competition to source and support solutions enhancing the eye care patient experience. In addition to launching the VSP Vision Innovation Challenge, MATTER and VSP Vision have co-produced a special podcast episode exploring how three startups are enhancing and transforming vision care by making the landscape more accessible, equitable and health-focused.

The conversation features Kimberly Wilson from HUED, Ali Khoshnevis of EyeCheq and Ehsan Vaghefi of Toku Eyes, who are building companies to transform vision care. The discussion was moderated by Will Flanagan, from the VSP Global Innovation Center.
