MATTER startup shoutouts: Winter 2023-24

Every day, innovators across the MATTER community are building new solutions that accelerate innovation, advance care and improve lives. Over the last three months, MATTER startups completed raises, fostered impactful partnerships and much more.

Ten MATTER startups received strategic investments or completed raises.

Acorai received a $2.3M grant.
Acorai received a €2.3m grant, with a follow-on €10m investment offer, from the European Innovation Council.

Augment Therapy raised a $2.7M Seed Plus round to support the company’s growth.
Augment Therapy, a digital health company enhancing rehabilitative healthcare through immersive and gamified technology, raised a $2.7M Seed Plus round to support the company’s growth, continue research validation and increase market traction.

Able Innovations awarded at ventureLAB’s Third Annual Hard Tech Summit.
Able Innovations was awarded second place and $20,000 at ventureLAB’s Third Annual Hard Tech Summit.

CARI Health awarded a $2.8M grant to develop an innovative remote medication monitoring device.
CARI Health was awarded a $2.8M SBIR grant from the National Institutes on Drug Abuse to develop their novel remote medication monitoring device.

DINA receives strategic investment from SCAN Group.
Dina received a strategic investment from the SCAN Group, one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit Medicare Advantage plans.

Enhanced Medical Nutrition announces closing of oversubscribed pre-Series A round.
Enhanced Medical Nutrition announced closing their oversubscribed pre-Series A round with support from dsm-firmenich venturing, The Kale Fund, Keiretsu Forum and angel investors.

Medipixel announces completion of $12.5M Series.
Medipixel announced completing a $12.5M Series B with participation from Premier Partners, Company K Partners, IMM Investment, SBI Investment, Industrial Bank of Korea, Quad Asset Management and Daily Partners.

Partum Health raises $3.1M Seed round, expanding access to pregnancy and postpartum care services.
Partum Health raised a $3.1M Seed round to expand access to pregnancy and postpartum care services.

Rhaeos receives a $1.5M grant through their Blueprint MedTech program.
Rhaeos received a $1.5M grant from the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke through their Blueprint MedTech program.

Xploro secures investor for 1.7M Seed round.
Xploro secured Boomerang Ventures as the lead investor for their $1.7M Seed round.

Nine MATTER startups secured impactful partnerships to help expand and scale their businesses.

AIRS Medical partnered with Strategic Radiology to provide increased access to their AI-powered MRI enhancement solution.
AIRS Medical announced a partnership with Strategic Radiology to give their membership of over 1700 radiologists access to SwiftMR™, AIRS Medical’s AI-powered MRI enhancement solution.

AIQ Solutions partnered with Blackford to integrate technology with AI platform.
AIQ Solutions entered a commercial partnership with Blackford to integrate their technology with Blackford’s enterprise AI platform.

CareAcademy partnered with Amanda Senior Care to provide training, upskilling and compliance solutions.
CareAcademy partnered with Amada Senior Care to provide comprehensive training, upskilling and compliance management solutions to Amada’s 150 locations.

Densitas partnered with Intelerad Medical Systems, advancing breast cancer screening.
Densitas partnered with Intelerad Medical Systems to advance breast cancer screening with AI technology.

LIVEMED Telehealth partnered with Healthcare Enrichment Solutions, providing remote monitoring services.
