Collectively, MATTER startup members raised $260 million in funding and earned more than $102 million in revenue in 2018. To date, MATTER members’ products have been used by more than 400,000 clinicians and have benefited more than 92 million patients.

MATTER also worked with industry-leading organizations, such as Advocate Aurora Health, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois and Novo Nordisk, to launch a number of new initiatives. These initiatives helped build bridges between entrepreneurs and established companies, and inspired creative new solutions for issues ranging from health disparities to diabetes management.

“2018 was a tremendous year for the MATTER community. For every story included in this report, there are dozens more we wish we had room to include,” said MATTER CEO Steven Collens. “Thank you to the entrepreneurs, partners, mentors and faculty who made these accomplishments possible.”
