Every quarter, we recognize startups from the MATTER community and their accomplishments as they build new solutions that are accelerating innovation, advancing care and improving lives. Some highlights include:

Five MATTER startups secured significant funding from venture capital and grants.

AIQ Solutions received an investment from Tundra Angels to advance its software platform, which enables clinicians to personalize treatments for complex diseases, such as cancer. The funding will support AIQ’s continued growth as it expands the impact of its actionable imaging analytics technology.

Ciconia Medical received a $35,000 investment from the San Diego Angel Conference. This funding supports their AI-powered device, which replaces manual vaginal exams during labor with accurate, less invasive digital measurements.

Cobionix raised a $3 million funding round led by TitletownTech to support the commercialization of its robotic platform CODI®. The platform integrates advanced automation and AI to enhance efficiency and delivery of healthcare services.

EDGe Surgical raised over $1.3 million to accelerate the commercial expansion of its single-use digital instruments for orthopedic and spine surgeries. The funding will help expand the adoption of its precision-focused surgical tools and drive revenue growth.

OraLiva was awarded a $1.9 million Direct-to-Phase II SBIR grant from the National Institutes of Health. The funding will advance its AI-linked cytology platform to enable early detection and intervention for oral lesions, thereby improving patient outcomes.


Eight MATTER companies created impactful partnerships advancing their solutions, delivering care and creating change.

Arete Biosciences partnered with American Diversified Holdings Corporation to design its GlucoGuard oral diabetes management device. The collaboration will accelerate GlucoGuard’s engineering and preparation for market launch.

AIRS Medical partnered with Blackford to bring AIRS Medical’s SwiftMR solution to healthcare professionals via the Blackford Platform. The integration of SwiftMR will help enhance image quality, reducing scan times and increasing efficiency in radiology departments.

Densitas® partnered with TungstenQI Partners, a pioneering healthcare quality improvement consultancy, aimed at improving mammography positioning quality on a broad scale.

Dentistry.One, a virtual-first dental care solution introduced by MouthWatch, partnered with Delta Dental of Washington to provide a virtual dental care option for more than 4 million of their members.

NeuroX partnered with NeuroGen Biomarking to advance neurodiagnostic care. The partnership will leverage NeuroGen’s biomarker technologies and NeuroX’s telehealth platform to enhance neurological diagnostics and treatment.

Phantomics partnered with Siemens Healthineers Korea to jointly advance clinical adoption of AI-powered cardiac MRI analysis.

Rezilient Health partnered with High Plains Health Plan to bring value-based primary care to more people via employer health benefits.

WovenX Health partnered with CRH Medical Corporation to deliver integrated, next-generation GI practice solutions designed to resolve persistent challenges surrounding patient access and operational capacity.


Seven MATTER companies reached key milestones in their business journey.

AITRICS received medical device approval from Hong Kong’s Medical Device Division for its AI-based patient deterioration prediction solution.

Emboa Medical was selected to the 2025 MedTech Innovator cohort.

Level Ex, the studio behind award-winning medical games for medical professionals, launched Level One, a free mobile game designed to make Type 1 Diabetes onboarding faster, easier and less overwhelming.

MindMetrix launched an adolescent mental health assessment for providers nationwide. The new, teen-focused mental health assessment was designed to help clinicians identify 40+ conditions with data-driven insights from both teens and caregivers.

Nimblemind.ai was named to the Google for Startups AI Academy: American Infrastructure cohort.

Vecinos, a non-profit free clinic and rural health center dedicated to serving uninsured and underinsured residents, opened a new permanent community health hub location in Franklin, North Carolina.

Xentria launched Xturnpoint, a venture partnering studio designed to support early-stage therapeutic innovators.
