Meet the newest additions to the MATTER community

Our newest MATTER members are on a mission to eliminate patient no-shows, help health systems manage vendor relationships and bring the vitamin industry to the next level.

Stitch Mix

Stitch Mix was started by Megan Wu and Justine Ly, medical students at the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. During their clinical experience, they became aware of the pervasive and expensive problem of patient no-show to appointments and decided to tackle this challenge. Megan and Justine believe that, by harnessing the wealth of data in medical records, they can identify the patients that are most likely to miss their appointment. By utilizing this data to help clinical staff optimize hospital and community resources to increase appointment adherence, Stitch Mix aims to increase cost savings to health systems, improve health outcomes and advance health equity.

Venddy

Erick McKesson and Phil Rogerson, co-founders of Venddy, began their careers working for a large EMR company and later consulted healthcare organizations through vendor selections, implementations, and other financial and operational improvements. During this time, they became aware of the unique challenges healthcare organizations face in managing their departments while simultaneously working towards improved performance and innovative solutions.

To solve this problem, they created Veddy: A vendor relationship management platform for health systems that offers a cost-effective and efficient approach to gathering market intelligence, sharing knowledge and managing vendor selection for healthcare operators and executives. Venddy’s vision is to improve quality of care and reduce costs in healthcare through more efficient business relationships — allowing healthcare organizations to innovate internally, identify software and service needs, find quality business partners, solicit competitive bids and contract with aligned incentives.

Vous Vitamin

Vous Vitamin started with two clinicians — Dr. Romy Block, an endocrinologist, and Dr. Arielle Levitan, an internist — who saw patients come into their practice who felt overwhelmed and confused by the myriad of vitamin choices on the market. This led them to build Vous Vitamin, a personalization engine that creates a customized multivitamin formula based on a client’s lifestyle data — taking into account factors like diet, fitness and health status. With Vous Vitamin, Dr. Block and Dr. Levitan hope to alleviate the confusion that consumers feel around vitamin and selections and make it easier to reach their best health.
