Meet the startups

Ad Astra Diagnostics — Morrisville, North Carolina:
Ad Astra Diagnostics is a healthcare technology company focused on rapid and accurate diagnostics. Ad Astra developed the QScout RLD, a point-of-care device that provides quick white blood cell counts from a single drop of blood. This system helps healthcare professionals make faster, more informed decisions, particularly in detecting infections like sepsis.

ARK Health — Ann Arbor, Michigan:
ARK Health recruits and retains patients for clinical trials by providing concierge navigation services that knockdown patient barriers, from pre-screening to enrollment. Using a predictive AI engine to efficiently deploy their navigation service, Ark Health matches patients with the right trials quickly and efficiently. This approach makes it easier for patients to participate and stay in trials, helping speed up the development of new treatments.

Avanlee Care — Billings, Montana:
Avanlee Care is a health tech company revolutionizing health plans to help families care for aging loved ones. Avanlee offers a platform that includes features such as health information management, medication tracking and access to caregiver resources. This enables family caregivers to efficiently manage care while balancing their responsibilities and promoting better health outcomes for those that they are in charge of.

Banco de Alimentos de Puerto Rico — Carolina, Puerto Rico:
Banco de Alimentos de Puerto Rico is a nonprofit dedicated to fighting hunger and improving nutrition for the island’s most vulnerable communities. Their mission is to alleviate hunger by distributing food and providing support to those in need, including children, seniors and families facing food insecurity. With a network of over 130 partner organizations, they serve all 78 municipalities in Puerto Rico. The food bank also plays a key role in disaster relief efforts. Through donations, volunteer efforts and community partnerships, they work to create a better and hunger-free Puerto Rico.

Cappsule Health — Sydney, Australia:
Cappsule Health empowers vulnerable populations, particularly the elderly, to live independently and safely at home or in care environments. Their solution combines Internet of Things devices and a SaaS platform for continuous, passive, privacy-conscious monitoring, ensuring safety and providing real-time insights to caregivers.

Carely.AI — Chicago, Illinois:
Carely.AI is addressing a growing crisis in healthcare: the severe shortage of care managers and the increasing pressure on clinical teams to handle overwhelming volumes of follow-up care, logistical coordination and social support. By utilizing AI, Carely.AI automates routine tasks, allowing clinical teams to focus on higher-priority cases and improving the efficiency of follow-up care.

DentKits — Las Vegas, Nevada:
DentKits provides at-home dentures utilizing digital dentures and teledental technologies. DentKits is improving access to dental care for underserved and vulnerable populations by offering dentist-prescribed dentures that are both convenient and affordable. By combining innovation with accessibility, they ensure that individuals can receive high-quality dentures without the need for frequent in-office visits.

Dormi Headphones — Chicago, Illinois:
Dormi Headphones is the leading provider of headphones for sleep and relaxation. Dormi sells unique headband-style headphones that are designed to be worn before or during sleep for those who struggle to sleep due to a wide variety of conditions. Their products deliver soothing sounds or music to promote better rest.

Healthy Hood Chicago — Chicago, Illinois:
Healthy Hood Chicago is a community-driven organization focused on improving health and well-being in underserved neighborhoods. They offer a wide range of programs including fitness classes, arts and culture initiatives and educational workshops, all designed to engage and empower local residents. By promoting holistic health, Healthy Hood Chicago works to bridge the health gap in areas with limited access to resources. Their efforts aim to create a more equitable environment, where residents have the tools and support needed to thrive and build a stronger future.

Healp — Fairfax Station, Virginia:
Healp is a digital health platform designed to connect patients with shared conditions to contribute their experiences to clinical research. The platform also helps users access relevant clinical trials, offering opportunities for potential treatments and contributing to medical research. By using AI and big data, Healp empowers patients to take an active role in their healthcare, bridging the gap between patients and medical advancements.

Joystik Life — Milwaukee, Wisconsin:
Joystik Life is a wellness company dedicated to helping individuals manage stress and improve overall well-being through scientifically-backed mind-body techniques. Their platform offers on-demand and easy-to-implement training sessions that integrate autogenics, classical conditioning and passive concentration methods. These sessions, each under eight minutes, are designed to fit seamlessly into daily routines, providing users with tools to reduce stress and boat performance. Joystick’s approach is trusted by organizations like Techstars and Concordia University, reflecting its commitment to fostering mental wellness and resilience.

Kintently — Grants Pass, Oregon:
Kintently is on a mission to be the world’s largest destination for caregiver wisdom and insight. They’ve developed easy-to-use digital apps that proactively guide families through the complexities of aging in place, starting with their proprietary InPlace platform. InPlace helps caregivers manage daily tasks, track health and wellness and navigate important decisions with confidence.

Legacy — Wilmington, Delaware:
Legacy is transforming the end-of-life care landscape by integrating Advance Care Planning into the patient journey through AI-assisted care coordination. Every year, the U.S. healthcare system spends $700 billion on non-beneficial end-of-life care, which can lead to unnecessary suffering for patients and families. By using AI to guide conversations and decisions around end-of-life preferences, Legacy ensures that patients receive care aligned with their wishes.

Ntegribox Solutions — Chicago, Illinois:
Ntegribox Solutions is an innovative medication containment solution designed to enhance safe medication administration at the point of care. Addressing key challenges in infection prevention, regulatory compliance and workflow efficiency, the NtegriBox securely stores and organizes medications, ensuring that they are dispensed safely and accurately.

Oro Intelligence — Chicago, Illinois:
Oro Intelligence integrates with your EMR and phone system to reduce no-shows and help fill schedule gaps on short notice, allowing you to get the most out of your providers’ time. Oro Intelligence’s goal is to leverage cutting-edge technology to support utilization to the greatest extent possible. Their HIPPA-compliant product is designed to integrate with provider phone and EMR systems to automate scheduling office workflows.

OraLiva — New York City, New York:
Oraliva provides non-invasive, clinically validated, AI-assisted diagnostics for screening oral lesions. This innovative solution delivers highly accurate diagnostic information to dental and medical providers.

Shaddari — Montreal, Canada:
Shaddari is a precision medicine company specializing in AI solutions to enhance healthcare decision-making. Their mission is to revolutionize healthcare by leveraging AI to improve patient outcomes and reduce medical errors.

Signum Technologies — Radnor, Pennsylvania:
Signum Technologies is an innovative company specializing in artificial intelligence and computer vision solutions to enhance health and safety. By collaborating with U.S. National Laboratories and Federal Agencies, Signum transforms advanced technologies into practical applications that address critical societal challenges. Their products focus on detecting environmental and physical threats, reducing risks to frontline workers, and improving public health outcomes. With a commitment to innovation, Signum Technologies strives to create a safer and healthier future through its cutting-edge solutions.

Sista Afya Community Care — Chicago, Illinois:
Sista Afya Community Care is a pioneering organization dedicated to transforming mental health care for Black women by providing culturally centered, accessible and affordable services. The organization offers individual and group therapy, free wellness workshops, and mental health education programs like Mental First Aid. By creating safe spaces for healing and connection, Sista Afya has positively impacted the lives of many women, helping them build resilience and thrive in a supportive community. Through its commitment to breaking down barriers to care, they are leading the way in creating lasting change for Black women’s mental health.

Tele-stethoscope — Louisville, Kentucky:
Tele-stethoscope (TSI) is a medical technology company based in Louisville, Kentucky that specializes in developing mobile phone auscultation diagnostic software. Their research focuses on creating algorithms that enable ordinary mobile phones to perform a wide range of diagnostics, aiming to make healthcare more accessible and efficient. TSI provides contract research services in the development of Class 2 mobile phone auscultation diagnostic software.

The Sandwich Club — San Francisco, California:
The Sandwich Club is your lifeline for caregiving — a digital membership crafted with love and intention for those balancing care for aging parents, kids or anyone they hold dear. At The Sandwich Club, no question goes unanswered – our AI responds immediately, then the community shares their own experiences to help caregivers easily find the answers they need and additional curated guides and resources.

Thrive Genetics — Philadelphia, Pennsylvania:
Thrive Genetics is a digital healthcare innovation company specializing in identifying genetic and behavioral attributes related to addiction. Our flagship product, Thrive CARES, evaluates addiction risk through comprehensive testing, empowering medical providers to deliver personalized, data-driven care.

Times Health — Knoxville, Tennessee:
Times Health is an innovative AI-powered healthcare platform designed to transform chronic care management and improve access to healthcare globally. Combining cutting-edge artificial intelligence with a user-friendly interface, Times Health provides personalized care plans, real-time health monitoring, and data-driven insights.

Umayana — Istanbul, Turkey:
Umayana is a biotech company with 35 years of research and development and consumer experience with a mission to provide effective and safe care. Its Murnia branded products help prevent and treat severe cancer and acute wounds with its patented molecular technology. By focusing on innovative solutions, Umayana aims to improve patient outcomes and enhance the quality of life for those facing serious health conditions.

Vecinos — Cullowhee, North Carolina:
Vecinos is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing equitable healthcare and wellness services, with a focus on Latinx and farmworker communities in western North Carolina. Since its inception in 2004, Vecinos has offered bilingual, integrated primary and mental health care through outpatient clinics and mobile medical units. Their mission is to ensure that healthcare is accessible to uninsured, low-income adults, emphasizing the importance of culturally appropriate care.

VITiaCARE — Boston, Massachusetts:
VITiaCARE helps patients through a unified approach that can outperform current solutions by addressing critical gaps in patient care and engagement.

Visor Health — Louisville, Kentucky:
Visor Health provides timely, intelligent and affordable Musculoskeletal Care for employers, payor and providers. Their solution enables the triage and diagnosis patients anywhere, anytime to ease and speed time to care and recovery for the patient while greatly lowering the cost to the employer and payer.

VoiceLove — New York City, New York:
VoiceLove is a technology company building digital solutions infused with AI to enable virtual visitation and eliminate isolation in intensive care units (ICUs) and long-term care facilities (LTCF). Its proprietary ICU and LTCF-approved virtual visitation platform allows patients to stay connected with their loved ones, even when in-person visits are not possible.

Wave Life — Menlo Park, California:
Wave Life’s mission is to revolutionize mental health care for digital natives by delivering inclusive, evidence-based behavioral health interventions using expert providers and best-in-class technology. Their personalized, “stepped-care” platform integrates virtual therapy, self-guided tools and support to meet individuals where they are in their mental health journey.
