Listen: Trustmark, Aon and Teladoc Health discuss how virtual care is changing the game for self-insured employers and employees

According to a 2021 McKinsey & Company survey, telehealth utilization has stabilized at levels 38X higher than before the pandemic, and around 40 percent of people believe they will continue to use telehealth going forward. On November 9, Trustmark Chief Digital and Strategy Officer Christopher Paquette moderated a conversation with Teladoc Health SVP and General Manager of Primary Care Rob Bressler, Aon SVP of Health Innovation Janet Faircloth and Trustmark Chief Growth Officer Paul Scaglione to discuss the rapid evolution of virtual care, how virtual care options are changing healthcare for self-insured employees and where the market is going.

“Health benefits are the second or third largest cost to employers, so while every employer is unique, what’s top of mind is how to reduce healthcare costs and the need to attract and retain employees,” says Paul Scaglione, chief growth officer of Trustmark. “Employers are also looking for solutions that address whole-person care, with a focus on behavioral health, and driving benefits engagement and adoption. And while employer and employee needs are closely aligned, employees are focused on low costs, convenient access to healthcare, security that their benefits support them and virtual care options.”
